Who's Down With the GOP?: Famous Black Republicans
This list of African-American Republican actors, sports stars and politicians may surprise you
Former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael S. Steele has been described as a conservative Republican. Steele is a practicing Catholic and even spent three years as a seminarian in the Order of St. Augustine, preparing to become a priest.

Its odd that you call Barak a puppet...who else is going to speak out on the general needs for everyone? Thats stupid to say.

George Washington was born in Virginia. And apparently Obama was not vetted when he became a Senator. Until now, nobody has had the nerve to try to pull a fast one on the U.S. government. Even the California Governor Swarstenegar voluntarily said no when people tried to get him to run as presidnet because he knew he wasn't born here. People need to check their facts before they spout off on the internet.

The Republician Party is not dead yet. We can change, improve and get better and become the voice of the people of the USA again just reaching out and listening up to the true needs of all the people of this great land. George Washington was born a citizen of England in Westmoreland, Virgina. Check it out Dad.

Democracts could care less for blacks and I am not ashamed to say it . Republicans care for all Americans [ Rich people are 2 ]. Democracts support Gay MArriage which many blacks oppose and abortions which many blacks oppose . Look at the history of the two parties and u will see Republicans are better .

While I am a staunch African-American democrat, I do listen to opposing views and respect the rights of them to have those views. However, I would be very interested in knowing whether or not any of the 15 famous black Republicans "crossed over" to vote for the now President-elect Barack Obama and what are their views concerning him.

I am a Black Rep[ublican and am damn proud, maybe if more Blacks joined our voices would be heard in the party. By the way the Democrats do not care either but our people keep voting for them and for what, they still go home to their all white neighborhoods and send their kids to all white privae schools and do not expose them to Blacks so they too stereotype us and are racist.

If you've not read the Lincoln-Douglas debates, check the Smithsonian magazine, September 2008 on their website: "I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people," Lincoln now asserted, "and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race."

There is no doubt the former Oklahoma Congressman, J.C. Watts is most qualified for the White House more than Obama will ever be. Obama is going to be a puppet for the Democratic party. He knows nothing about running a government nor has he have ever managed a State or Federal Budget. J.C. Watts is very intelligent, experienced and is a wonderful person with absolutely nothing to hide. He is one of the most knowledgeable and eloquent speakers that I have ever listened to in my entire life. The United States could consider themselves extremely lucky and proud to have him as their President. The main problem that Watts had was in raising enough money to campaign. I think both parties should be on an even playing field when it comes to raising campaign funds. In all fairness, their funds should match each other. May God Bless J.C. Watts
