I took responsibility for my own hair a little over a year ago. Since then, it has grown past my shoulders. I only use natural and organic products, and I make my own moisturizing/protein treatments with stuff from my kitchen. I go to the salon every 8-10 weeks for a really mild perm to loosen my naps and make them curls. Our hair is really easy to care for when you are treating it properly. Your stylist is NOT going to tell you how to care for your hair. Some don't know and some won't because they don't want to loose your money. GOOGLE the words: no-poo, pre-poo and co-wash. You should find articles with recipes and other info.

I am 52 and have been trying to keep my hair healthy. I have mingle gray hair and I do my own hair. I have gone to salons and they are very expensive and does not promote healthy hair. They all are trying to get me to put dye in my hair because of the grey. I do not dye my hair and take offense when the stylist try to talk me into dying it. Could you please shed some light on what products to use on grey hair to keep it healthy and not looking dull?

My mistake, I see Eugene is located in NY @ the Ted Gibson salon. I would still like to know if he can recommend a stylist in Atlanta. Thanks (sorry for the misread).
