I'm from the south(West Virginia) and I and my sisters were brought up with our mother spending hours; I mean HOURS, washing, dring, hot combing, and press and curl our hair especially the night before Easter! After years of that then relaxer then s curl then back to relaxer in 1999 I made the decision to cut off my hear and just go "All Natural". I LOVE IT and so does my man and every now and then I might put a color in it! ;)

I just read your article and loved it. My problem is different. My hair started breaking and then growing back.Because of the bald spot in the center of my head and the thinning .First it was the size of a half dollar in the center of my head and now it is larger.I have used Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner, but the bald spot is still there. Please Help! By Ree

Nutress Protein Pack and Stop Break Leave conditioner are the best conditioners I've used. Most of the other product and some black products are owned by L'oreal under different names. Nutress is black owned. The best setting lotion is Lottabody
