I absolutely loved the movie. I also read the book. I have loved and adored T.D. Jakes for years. I love what he is doing and what he stands for. I love Taraji and Morris Chestnut! I have been happily married for 16 years. I love this movie because people need to know what it takes to make a marriage works. We have too many marriages not working, so I definitely love the message of perseverance. I wanted to comment because I read some negative comments which are so unfounded. T.D. Jakes continue with what you are doing and Taraji I think you are absolutely beautiful!

My best friend Melissa and I went to see the movie this afternoon and we enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. I already spoke to some of my family and friends and recommend that they see the movie as well. The movie did not just deal with marriage it also dealt with parenting, friendship, lost dreams, and allowing your life of go on after heartache and pain. I truly believe anyone of any nationality would enjoy this movie and see things that they can relate to or know someone who can relate to some of the issues that go on in the movie. So I truly hope that people will go out and support this movie.

hmmm i think until the black community changes for the better within themselves and it is seen on the outside then we need to see the as it was called "typical black movie". we havent got the clue yet maybe through the films the majority might. if they get tired of seeing it. And we need a positive and real image of marriage. i think it is awesome that he did it. it shows that a bishop or pastor particularly a man of God can relate to more than just the literal bible text and a dollar. i appreciate it. in a time when the divorce rate is beyond 50% i wouldnt complain about any movie trying to help,

Hopefully, the movie will have a great message, and not be the typical black movie.

Kyoto, you are absolutely right and ain't nuttin freer than pray. The rich rules over the poor (Proverbs 22:7) so it can not be God's will for His people to be poor. God "gives (us) power to get wealth." (Deuteronomy 8:18) God teaches us to profit. (Isaiah 48:17) God gave us instructions on how to be prosperous and have good success. (Joshua 1:8 & Psalm 1:1-3) Why would He tell us how if it was not His will for us to prosper? God desires that we prosper. (3 John 1:2) Christians have been called to freedom. (Galatians 5:13) Whom the Son of God sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36) if you do not have financial freedom you are not truly free.
