25 Best Slow Jams of All Time
'Slow Jam' by Midnight Starr
Remember when scoring a slow drag with the object of your (prolonged) desire was the ultimate high? That one dance could be the beginning of a rare and beautiful love thang as long as the deejay kept the slow jams coming. For the lover in you, ESSENCE.com sets the mood with its top favorite 25 slow jams.

I went through every song so that I could make a mixed cd for my mother. After I did that, I then scrolled down and read everybody's comments. I got so many more songs to add to the list. Even I know who Tony Terri, Marvin Gaye, the O'jays, etc are and my mother loves them. Thank you for listing more.

I don't think "Seven Days" is one of the greatest slow jams of all times, although I like the song very much. What about "I Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer," "Voyage To Atlantis," "After The Dance," or "Loving You?" I don't know who made this list, but they don't know music very well.
