Pam El's Weight Loss Success Story
No Stopping Me
Pam El was heavy for most of her adult life. But the 51-year-old was never sad or downtrodden about her size. “I was 217 pounds, 5-feet and 2-inches tall, size 18, but I was still very energetic and happy. A lot of time weight depresses people; my weight didn’t depress me it was just a little bit of an inconvenience. And because of my professional success and my personal life: a wonderful husband of 15 years who is also my best friend—I just didn’t take the time to stop and say how can I make this better for myself from a physical standpoint,” explains the businesswoman.
Tamara Harbison lost a whopping 125 lbs. in 9 months. See photos of her amazing weight loss »

To Dianne72, it truely amazes me the ignorance that some people show when posting messages. If you had taken the time to read the article thoroughly you would have seen that Pam is a vegetarian and a strict one at that, I know this because, I have known Pam all of her life because we are cousins. I take great pride in knowing her and seeing her transform into such a beautiful woman. As a relative/mentor she has inspired me to change my eating habits and the way I live my life. She is a true inspiration to me and the entire family just by the way she has carried herself not just as a top notch business woman for State Farm., but also as a compassionate wife/daughter/sister and friend.I am so excited for her because I know this is just the beginning of an amazing journey.

Pam, your story is very inspiring. I am 39 years old and have been on high blood pressure meds since I was 32 mainly due to my weight. I joined the 50 million pound challenge a month ago and signed up for a personal trainer this week. My goal is to lose 40lbs by my 40th birthday. When it gets tough for me, I am going to think about you and your healthy new lifestyle as inspiration. Thank you for sharing your story.
