Pam El's Weight Loss Success Story
No Stopping Me
Pam El was heavy for most of her adult life. But the 51-year-old was never sad or downtrodden about her size. “I was 217 pounds, 5-feet and 2-inches tall, size 18, but I was still very energetic and happy. A lot of time weight depresses people; my weight didn’t depress me it was just a little bit of an inconvenience. And because of my professional success and my personal life: a wonderful husband of 15 years who is also my best friend—I just didn’t take the time to stop and say how can I make this better for myself from a physical standpoint,” explains the businesswoman.
Tamara Harbison lost a whopping 125 lbs. in 9 months. See photos of her amazing weight loss »

Pam your story has been a light in an otherwise dark situation...I am 28 years old with a husband and 2 boys and I weigh 233 pounds down from 249 pounds when I first started the 50 lillion pound challenge. I find that I lose motivation but your story has helped me on today...Thanks you will see a lot less of me next time....Shantell from Michgan

Pam, I am so proud of you. May God continue to bless you and keep you on your journey. You have inspired me to continue. I have lost 18 pounds of the 147 that I need to lose. My motivation is to get off of my blodd pressure medicine and to be healthy. Thank you for your success, because I know if God blessed you to succeed, He can and will bless me to do the same. Congratulations, your sister in weight and Christ, Angel

Her story is absolutely beautiful & inspiring! She is a woman with a loving, supportive husband, fabulous career, and now has the body to match the attitude. I love her clarification & notation that as Black women this isn't the hardest thing we've done. That's it. I have to get off my rear & just do it! Pam: You look wonderful & even younger at a smaller size. I'm told I don't look my age, but when I look at younger pics, I know that weight adds age. Of all the inspiring stories I've read, more than just the "body" photos speak to me. I look at their face & ALL of the women look much younger without the extra weight. In the words of TD Jakes, "when it's your time no one can tell you different, something rises up on the inside that says, YEAH"!

Today I awoke feeling bad about my weight loss because I have been dieting since the beginning of April . I have been very good. But yesterday I had a large sundae, a handful of Oreos, and other junk like that. So I think what is the use. Now I feel new inspiration. Thank you and congratulations.
