Neenah Pickett's 52-Week Love Mission
52 Weeks to Find My Husband
Neenah Pickett, a 42-year-old single woman, recently launched her Web site, 52weeks2findhim.com. As part of her New Year’s resolution, Pickett vowed to meet her husband in 52 weeks.
“I always come up with crazy, wacky and fun ideas anyway because I work as a media consultant, so that’s what I get paid to do. During a dry time of guys asking me out, I came up with the idea.”

Neenah, I wish you the best in your search but first and foremost REALLY LOVE YOURSELF, keep God first and "whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours" (Mark 11:24). Sometimes the best things in life are those worth waiting for. Patience is a virtue. I wish you much success in your quest for love.

I saw you on tv. Good luck. True (black) love still exists. I have met some good men the 1.5 years I have been here in Abq. They were just not right for me.

Go Neenah!! I respect your originality & courage. I met my ex-husband through traditional "wait & he will show up" means - the marriage barely lasted six years. Divorced 7 yrs, recently I have speculated various online dating sites but have not made any real connections with any of them. At the end of 2008 I told one of my best girlfriends that I refuse to have the same old man- bashing conversations at the end of 2009. Instead I have cleaned out my bad relationship closet, throwing out the junk and am keeping my heart, mind, prayers and faith focused on improving me & welcoming 'him' into my life. My friend & I laughed and agreed and are believing that it is possible to have thriving, stable, life-long relationships with our men by the end of this year!! Good luck & blessings in your search as well!!! May we all celebrate together at the end of 2009 with our men!!

Neenah is going about it all wrong. If she is a professional, Black woman there are men all around who would like to be in a relationship with her. The thing is these are not the men that she desires. They might be high school educated, or blue collar and she probably feels she deserves better. She already has it going on in the "professional" department she just needs to focus more time on her looks and body e.g. better weave and working out that body. When she gets these things in line she will attract the man that she desires.

God waits for us to take a step then He does His thing! Go for it Neenah!

It is not that serious. Marriage and more importantly good relationships are work. It takes some 52 years to really know someone, not 52 weeks. I hope this is just a tool she is using to become popular. If so its working. I say be careful what you wish for!

I don't desperation has anything to do with Ms.Picketts search for happiness, Everyone wants to be loved and respected. Who knows may she felt this is the best way to meet the man of her dreams. Although, it may not be our ways but, whoever said our ways are perfect. I support her and pray that in making this decision she will be selective, wise, careful, stay foucus, and know that God got her back. God Bless may God give you the desires of your heart. May your dreams, hopes, inspirations and endeavours be bless. Best Wishes, Alicia
