the 1st lady has influenced me by her personality and style. i love how she puts her family ahead of everything she does. i still think it's so awesome, that the black community, for the 1st time, has its own role models to look up to in the white house!

I am so glad to finally see a First Lady in the Whitehouse who does not act like "Mrs. Goody Two Shoes" She is foreal and can relate to people of all statues of life.

As a teacher, I use the example of First Lady Michelle Obama with my students. I sponsored a mini book club on the book, Michelle Obama: An American Story by David Colbert. Also, I gave the girls jewel boxes because the First Lady says that "all girls are jewels." She has empowered many young girls.

Mrs. Obama has the right to wear what ever she chooses. When I was young. it was the well dress ladies at the Baptist Church who inspired me to develop a dressing style, not high price designs at the big department store in town. So, she has developed her style and she is comfortable with it,therefore she will wear whatever she likes and will make changes "WHEN" she likes! THIS IS A "FIRST EXPERIENCE" FOR AMERICA.
