The First Lady shares quality time with Jeanette D. Rivera Boria, who spoke about working while caring for her sick mother at the Corporate Voices for Working Families on May 7.
Mrs. Obama was honest about the resources she now has that most working mothers do not. Everyone should have the chief of staff, scheduler and assistant she has at her disposal noted Mrs. Obama. She also remarked that in her experience employers benefit when they give their employees flexibility with family demands.
“The more flexibility and opportunity that I gave them to be good parents, the more commitment they made to working with me.”
