It's still hard to fathom and think about. I'm only 3 years older than Michael, so I grew up on his music. At least every other day, I have a Michael Jackson song ringing in my head. When I first heard of his death, they were ringing in my head for days on end, and I'm sure I haven't gotten through a fraction of his wonderful music. What a phenominal, misunderstood and wonderful human being.

This image of Michael is startling...especially since he'd been out of the public eye for some time. I admire and appreciate his art but wonder still why he appears to be rejecting his race.

When I read online that Michael Jackson had died, I can't really describe how shocked and gobsmacked I was. At first, I thought it was just a false rumor but that would not only be insane but in extremely bad taste. I was a huge MJ fan in the 90s' but didn't follow his music much in the past several years. But when I heard that he had died, I just realized how much of an MJ fan I still really is. Michael, you are the ULTIMATE performer, singer, and artist. You are a true humanitarian. Your efforts in trying to "make the world a better place" is truly remarkable, along side Mother Theresa. You are truly INCOMPARABLE. No one, and i mean no one, could measure up to you in terms of sheer genius and artistry. YOU ARE TRULY THE KING OF POP. RIP Michael. You will always be missed.

After all this time.. With all the commentary and even the memorial service, I am still in Shock ! If I hear something on the NEWS or read an article in the paper, I just Shake my head.. I can't believe he's gone... It's like someone took my brother from me. Michael and his brothers his family for that matter have been a constant in my life. Hell, we thought we were the Jacksons. "I can't get U off my mind" !! I couldn't wait to go to school hoping Michael would come meet me after school singing that song......
