Mother of the Bride Beverly Williams presents her daughter Malinda with something old—a gold and pearl cameo ring and handkerchief from the bride’s grandmother.
Beverly shares her wishes for the happy couple:
“Derrick and Malinda, I can see in your faces the joy of love which comes from above. May God continue to bless you with joy, peace and happiness. What a beautiful couple, & bridal party, Congratulations!!...I am so glad they shared their special day with Essence readers.. ."What a classy couple "I wish Essence would have featured Derrick and Malinda on the cover of the (October 2008 issue). They really deserved it.

I believe this is truly the wedding of the year in Essence. From the 1st time I saw the pictures I said this is the best wedding in Essence.Everything about it-the pictures, the wedding, the relationship & the couple) just radiates. You can see the love and admiration between D Nice & Malinda. I pray they hold on to each other and never let go. Communicate and respect each other each and everyday. Tasha

I wasn't going to respond to this comment, but CASSANDRA, who said she left her son's father for this man???? NEWS FLASH...Malinda and Mekhi have been divorced for years, before her relationship with Derrick. Furthermore, Mekhi has already remarried. I gather from interviews given by both Malinda and Mekhi, that Mekhi was, as the old folks say, "cuttn' up in the marriage".
