Everyone that is mad because people say they should be married must still be with a man that won't marry them. I use to be a baby mama. I left then he came back 4 my hand. If he has a contract to work his job. Then he should have a contract to work that woman. They are a beautiful family but marriage is very honorable in the sight of God and the marriage bed undefiled. So stop promoting cohabitation. Studies show that marriage is more stable than cohabitation or shacking. It is good for boys to see that their dad honored their mother enough to marry her.

I am really suprised to be writing this. But, there are a lot of ignorant people in the year 2009. As, my kids would tell me "You need to get some business". Therefore, I will share it with all of you that had something negative too say about this couple. Check out your house, marital status, number of kids by numerous dads. duh....Use, that negative energy and go back to school and learn to write properly. And, before you go bed fall on your knees and ask God to forgive you for tyring to take his place. Judge..

Nice home, but I'm wondering, what's stopping these two from making it legal? It can't be money.

What's the problem people? They are a beautiful couple in love raising their child. They are doing what's honorable. Anything else should not concern us. She's beautiful and worthy of her lifestyle. Would we prefer that he shared his blessings with a white woman? We need to stop hating on each other sisters! If given the chance, most of us would trade places in a heart beat. As far as the house is concerned, it is FABULOUS! Thank you for making us privvy to your personal life.

Good job Essence. More showy, flashy, ostentatious, over-the-top crap reports that have nothing to do with anything in life. Thanks for reporting or talking about things like the economy, jobs and recession during such a poignant time in our history.

I am not trying to stand in judgment, but we as women regardless of being Latina, African-American or other, must have our own thing going on and depend on NO ONE because life has a way of throwing you a curve ball. I wish them both the best and I hope La-La develops her own personality outside of Carmelo and the baby.

WOW I love this house.. and it's amazing how many judgemental and mean-spirited comments have been left on this page!! Hopefully everyone who had something hateful to say is married and has a beautiful house, an awesome career, knows this couple personally and is as perfect as they are making themselves seem. If not then that's a little ridiculous-I guess I was raised not to be so judgemental and it's suprising to say the least to read some of these comments.. geez!! tough crowd!!

OMG some women on her are so JEALOUS. Most of you are UNHAPPY with your lives and cant see other people's happiness. Married or no married everyone has a RIGHT to their own happiness. If you have to put other people down for you to feel better then you are truly SAD...Congrats and good luck to Lala and her family. Do onto others has you would have other do onto you.

Their home is beautiful. I would love to see them get married, but for the right reasons. When they are ready. As for the topic of race and ethnicity...Lala's parents are Puerto Rican, which is not a "race". Hispanics tend go by nationality (or decent nationality), rather than race. She is obviously an african decending PR, but that doens't make her any less Latina. Latinas come in all races, but tend to go by culture rather than race. For all of the angry ladies mad at Carmelo-His father was Hispanic, his mother Black (American). He regards himself as Black (American). So it's whatever. Good luck to them and anyone who's found love.
