One evening, Bridgette and Deon, both 28, both attended the same church service for young adults. At the dinner that followed, Deon showed up late and wound up sitting in the only seat that was available — the one right next to Bridgette. His smile immediately impressed her. “We talked like we’d known each other for years,” she said. He was someone special, and now he’s her soon-to-be husband. They’re tying the knot this May.
