Inauguration Travel Guide
Best Place to Watch the Inauguration
Here are tips for making your trip to D.C. a success »
If you’re not an immediate member of the Obama clan or planning to sit in front of a television, you will probably need to choose between attending the United States presidential inauguration—the parade (on Pennsylvania Avenue) and the actual inaugural address (at the Capitol).
The Newseum, the world’s most interactive museum, is conveniently located on the parade route and will offer a sweeping view of the festivities on January 20. Advance tickets for the parade viewing here are no longer available, but there are some walk-up tickets remaining if you’d like to watch the address indoors.

In response to Celeste Henry's post on the 14th, if you'ld like to attend the parade, there is an ADA section. You may have needed to obtain tickets for certain events/seating areas. Please check the official inauguration website for more info. For Sunday's events ADA entrance will be through Public Entry D - 17th street at South Elm Walk. There will be ADA accessible sections throughout the General Public area. Volunteers will help guide guests to these areas. I hope this information is helpful.

I am a Disabled Veteran who recently had total left hip replacement surgery. I would like to see the inauguration in person, will you have a section for handicapped persons?
