I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how very inspired and proud I was to read your profile/story in the August edition of Essence. I am originally from South Carolina as well and it was uplifting to see a "homeboy" who was doing great things and making such an effort to change lives in our community. I work in Psychology and it's necessary for the health of our people to be able to go above and beyond what they have come to believe as "the best they can do". There are many successes that come from small places, but are often not recognized. Thank you again for helping our youth come to realize their educational dreams. Blessings to you and in all that you strive to accomplish.
