Greetings! I would love to enter my mother for the opportunity to win the trip to the Third Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood. My mother is very deserving because of her strength, creativity, compassion and leadership. She exudes each of these qualities in every area of life, from home, church, work and community. She is my role model, such as the ladies that will be honored. (Provided I can not enter for her, please use this entry for me. She will definitely be my guest, if selected!: )

I am writing and praying to be selected to win this trip to the Third Annual ESSENCE Presents Black Women in Hollywood Awards. I have been told and feel I am deserving of this opportunity. I really need a vacation. I have not had a real vacation since June 2006. Since June 2006, my mother has died, my sister has died, my husband walked out on me and just within this month, I have received divorce papers. I am trying so hard to maintain and cope. If it was not for God, I would have lost my mind a long time ago, but He has kept me going. I need a makeover. I push myself to stay encourage. I don't feel pretty, but I know God is keeping me. Please consider me for this great opportunity. Thank you.
