I rock my natural afro hair, when I'm in the mood for something new or a totally different look, I wear a wig or fix a weave or even flat iron my hair. Everyone has their opinion about artificial hair. But who are you to set rules or decide what is right or wrong. Not all people who wear artificial hair are insecure or have low esteem. Interesting opinion though, but lacks substance.

All white actress and singers wear weaves and extentions, weaves and extentions came from white people. Secondly is it only me but Diane Ross daughter is ugly as a dog Ellis Ross, Diana is a beautiful woman she should have all her kids with a good looking black man her full black daughter is beautiful. Laila Ali, and Kerry Washington now that black beauty at it's best.

Many black women are just not proud of their hair, skin color and looks in general. How do you call taking care of your weave, taking care of your hair? They will never be real to themselves or accept their looks. A weave all-year-round just to look good is not authentic, it's fake. Like it or not. What these celebs are forced to do is conform to what the "original make up people" termed as beautiful - Long straight (caucasian-looking) weaves and wigs. And this is what message is passed on to the public. After all who wants to have a bushy-unkempt-like look huh?

Hair has nothing to do with who you are, you are what u make urself out to be. Just because celeberties wear make up have weave/extensions and the most famous now the Lace wigs really doesnt mean that they are promoting fakeness if thats the case where would the fads and the styles come from. like if you were on the front of every magazine and on every paparazzi photo then you would want to look your best at all times its only conveint for them so i appreciate the black women celeberties looking there best at all times>. It showing where we came from as a people and where we are now! whether your rocking the natural or the now Black is all what beauty represents

It would be nice to see some of them wearing natural styles. In London there is a good mix of styles from 'fro, braids, weaves, etc. Yes they have busy lives, so weave is the best option to protect their hair, but why not a kinky one? Paris Hilon and such likes wear weaves that match their natural texture. I don't expect everyone (black) to be natural, but would just like to see more variation in styles. I'm sure amoung the 16 pics Jill Scott, Leela James could have featured.

Wow! When did it become a crime to wear your hair in any style you choose. Even if its braids, locks, weaves or wigs. Does it really matter if you see a celebrity with their real of fake hair? What gets me, the majority of the hating that goes on amongst black women is by black women. A good majority of celebrities, white, black, hispanic, etc has worn some type of hairpiece that's not their own. Black women get over it and do you.
