Reading alot of the comments while, noticing the many differences in opinions. One thing stands out is that we can not make another stray or stay within their race if they choose not to. Why are we given other justifications in why we must do or even explore other options in dating. People have said some of the most cruel things on this message board. That if you're single and if you choose to date within your means then you'll die alone because our black men are on drugs and in jail. Harsh Statements!! If it's in God's will for you to be alone then maybe he has other plans for you as his child. All black men are not in jail or on drugs. How about when a brother or a sister is down bow your head and pray for deliverence. To be continue.........

Are all you guys serious? What is wrong with dating out side of your race? Why does anyone care about who or what someone else is dating or married to? It is their life, let them live it and be happy. All these negative comments and everyone hating on each other about this is ridiculous.. WHO CARES! Life is too short to be worried about why she is dating a BM or why he is dating a BW. Ladies please, go to school and get a career...not a job...but a career and better yourselves. BW have a heard enough time trying to prove themselves equal in corporate america...so why don't you take all this energy and apply it to making a statment that all BW are not all ghetto and we do have the smarts to making it in the corporate world. Grow up and better yourselves and stop arguing over stupid stuff.

People of all races, backgrounds, and religions should be free to love without limits. As a black woman, I am personally only attracted to black men. However, I see nothing wrong with interracial dating or marriage. I embrace it in my family, my friends, and everywhere else. Love is not only blind, it's COLORblind.

As a black woman who is engaged to a white man, the slavery rape argument is soo old and tired. Last time I checked the crime stats, black men are responsible for most of the rapes, assaults and day to day degradation of black women. I too was a fool for the nothing but a black man party line. I was alone for three years until a graduate school friend introduced me to her cousin. It has been everything I had ever dreamed of regarding a relationship with ANY man. It does take time to getting used to the stares and the comments but I am a self-confident black woman. I am lucky enough to have a man that appreciates that fact.

Oh you can't make me angry "hon" : - | (Yawning). That would only work if you were worth that much energy. I'm done arguing with a fool (in case you missed it, that means you). Just like many BW here are. Keep any man who is foolish enough to kiss those golden slippers of yours. More power to ya' sweetie! I will be happy to take any of the wonderful men out there who are not simple enough to take up with the likes of you. Oh and BTW, please buy a dictionary for that spelling problem you have. I totally agree with you Pecola. WG thinks quite highly of herself in her role as slave mistress to the brothas as they bow down and kiss her golden slippers. How many brothas are happy to do it? Troll comedy? Vice versatile all you want. Of course its too late (thank in large part to white men) Who started this back then when the first Mayflower sailed from the land of diamonds. Black women back then had no choice, but surrender themselves to the power of the white men. Although, its funny still to this day they still do. As from what I see on a daily basis black women in general surrendered their beliefs of black men keeping the cycle running of what already in placed. Black women back then and now caved in. Where is the likes of Angela Davis or Assata Shakur? We more of them...
