Take our poll on interracial dating »

I think that it is silly that people are still hung up on "interracial" marriages or dating. I am 26 and I have dated all types of individuals, and i am proud to say that I found the love of my life and he asked me to marry him! He happens to be white, so what! It's all about who gets you and makes you happy. we are all people right?

Mrs.S, your mentality reflects the problem with many a negative comment on this subject: the unwillingness to accept that a person has the right to pursue whatever makes them happy. to try and say that not promoting black love is the problem in our community is to put a small drop of water on a forest fire, and call it extinguished. what's truly amazing is the same ones on here posting about black love, are the ones downing their brothers and sisters for being happy and falling in love. their are many more facets to black love than just that between a man and a woman, but until we get a bit more black RESPECT going for eachother , we have a long way to go...

I'm a person of mixed race and would love for this knucklehead in New Orleans to know it's ONLY been white people like him that have made people like me feel unwanted. The black side of my family openly accepted everyone who came into the family. On the other hand the white side had nothing to do with us with the exception of my grandparents, whose house I wasn't allowed in until I was 12, for fear of what the neighbors would think. I have found this is prevelant in many mixed race families - the white side is more likely to ostricize their non-white blood relatives, the black side welcoming & accepting. It's hard to believe that these people who see themselves as superior are actually so very mean & ignorant. Shame on that Justice -

You all are really tripping...it's not about looking for validation from the white race. WHO CARES if a white man happens to make me happier than a black man. God is NOT partial!! My goodness!! People wake up and step outside of the familiar. Dating outside of your race doesn't take away ya black card!! Color doesn't matter if you know who you are!!!! Damn!!

God doesn't see color. We are Spirit first & you should be with who you love, not by something as superficial as the color of your skin. Halle is half white so does that still make she & Gabriel Aubry an interracial couple. Beautiful Miss Nahla Aubry is actually only 25% black, but in this society is still a black child. I'm glad Gabriel saw the beauty in Halle and created their beautiful adoreable daughter.

I think people should be able to date or marry whoever they choose. The judge needs to be disbared never to sit on the bench again to screw up good peoples life. SoSF, Calif

let's face it. According to a book on slavery and race. interracial relationships is a bitter past for black men. Because when master charley won't the black women he came in and took her and dropped a load. Black women you are very insentive toward that promblem.
