Celebrity Hair Trends: Bald to Very Short Styles
Hair No More
Our hair is our crowning glory, but for some women very short to no hair at all is even more empowering. From UK singer Skin (pictured) to Solange Knowles fearless starlets seem to want to show off a little scalp. We take a look at the bald and beautiful women redefining standards of femininity.

Just as a lot of women who use wigs, weaves or relaxers want their choices respected, so do I! I have worn locs for the last 8 years. I have seen rude comments made by women posted on this site about women who's hair is natural. So let's be respectful of one another's choices. The most important thing is that your hair is healthy!!

Krochon, thx for your comments. I don't wear makeup or rarely ever do. My hair is natural, and I rarely ever go to any beauty salons -- it's just too daggone expensive for me. But you're right, cos this natural hair thing is hard!!! Am seriously thinking about going back to a lifelong commitment to relaxers. It's really whatever works for people -- variety is the spice of life, and we're fortunate that we can see and enjoy different dos. Anyway, the girl in the pic looks "FIERCE!!!" Rock on!

I's amazing how we can equate who we are with our hair texture/style. If it's all about being natural, stop wearing makeup, too!Wearing your hair natural is wonderful, but does it really define you? If wearing it natural enhances your beauty, wear it that way; if you think weave, wigs or relaxers enhance your natural beauty, go for it, but for God's sake, please stop defining each other by how our hair is worn.

i think what we all have to understand here is that it does not matter how a person decides to wear their hair.. natural... fake.. short..braids... boldd... it really does not matter at all as long as we a look and feel great as we are just because some of us choose to relax our hair it does not mean that we want to look like'the whites' it simply means that we want to enjoy our own hair. and also just because you look good with your natural hair it doesnt mean you should have the right to insult those who do not.

If a woman wants to wear her hair natural that's her choice, if she wants to wear a relaxer, corn rolls, weaves, wigs it's their choice. We are a plothera of colors, shapes and sizes, if we all tried to be the same it just wouldn't work. So respect the woman who wear their hair different from yours. No style is better than the other. I wear a relaxer, wigs, weaves, and I've worn my hair natural, but it's My choice and it should be respected.

I lost my hair due to medical reasons and I thought the world had come to an end. I wore a wig for a few months until my own hair started growing back(I hate wigs)and now I am all natural. I love my short curly hair. I really think I will stay natural because it is who I am.

I don't think that it is fair for you to call women that has relaxers in their hair fools. I have a relaxer and I'm NOT trying to be like anyone. Just because some of us still have relaxers that doesn't mean we're trying to be white! Madame C.J. Walker invented hair products for black women because she felt our hair should be more manageable and that is simply what a relaxer does. If you choose to go natural don't put someone else down because they haven't. I applaud all the women who have made this choice but relaxed or natural hair doesn't define us. We are a beautiful race of women with the diversity to wear different hairstyles so whatever you chose let it represent you!

You can preach and preach to the fools that insist on putting chemicals in their hair. I don't even try anymore, if they are happy walking around with stringy relaxed hair that they love to swing like a white girl then more power to them. The black woman wants to be everything but who she truly is, just has to have straight hair

I've worn my hair in a ceasar once during the summer after I had cut off locs at first I felt very naked and uncovered but then I found it to be liberating. I have since gone back to the locs but I still love the look of low and no hair. The real you shows. All the women look beautiful and vey feminine with their hair cut.

I have been natural for 15 years, and I would never change back to relaxers. I used to rock my curls, but for the past five years it's about getting it low. I always get compliments, and oh yes I'm Fierce!
