To: Posted at 4:12PM on December 6th 2008 by jthompson Are you crazy? I have read nothing hateful in the comments below, granted some are petty and opinionated but far from hateful. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, plus it would be no fun if everyone liked or agreed on every post. Don't be blinded by the money, their were very talented people who made pennies compared to some of the non-talented people who make millions today. I think this film show us this.

FYI: Vivca A. Fox was has been directing/producing films for years and "Two Can Play that Game" was directed in a major studio as well.

You all act like no one can say anything about Beyonce with out being jealous or hateful of her. I've been a fan of her music for many years but even I have to say she is not the best of actresses. She is not perfect at eveything and some of you worship her because of the money she earns. I like that she is trying to expand as an artist but we don't have to act as if she the ulitmate beauty, innocent, and perfect. The movie was GREAT! but I wish Beyonce wasn't in it because just her being in the film takes away for the other actors an film itself.

I've seen the film and it was I thought it was Good, I went to support black actors. I do not think people are jealous of Beyonce they just do not lthink she is a good actress and is a over-exposed celebrity. I think we let Beyonce get a free pass on a lot of the things she does, like provactive videos and poor acing because we like the way she looks. Be fair and honest. Thankfully she was not in many of the scenes. I think everyone's entitled to there opinion. I've read mainstream (white) reviews who were much harsher on Beyonce performance then anything I've read on this post. But if they ever make an Etta James movie I hope Queen Latifah earns the role.

I saw the movie and all the men/actors were awesome. Beyonce also did a great job but not enough for an Oscar.

I am embarrass to listen to these comments that black people are saying about their own people. Lets thank God we have made it as far as we have. Black people have died for us to have better lives. And all they can do is put one another down. We as black poeple need to love and embrace one another for our accomplishments. All the black people you are talking about give thousands of dollars to their communities and charities. So stop talking about people you know nothing about except waht you read in magazines. JayZ came from nothing to something . You can't knock him for that, and he gives back so do Beyounce. She giving all her earnings for hew new movie to charities.

Kudo's to Darnell Martin (pic #17) the first African-American woman to direct a movie produced by a major studio, Columbia Pictures "I Like It Like That" and now "Cadillac Records". Kudos to Bey for taking the pludge as Executive Producer. Wow these African-American women represent us all very well with respect and dignity. We need this more and more.

I am happy for Beyonce, not because of her tangible riches but for the intangible ones. It is a wonderful thing when you have or create an opportunity to pursue something you are passionate about. Stop the hating and start embracing or at the very least take notes!

Are you people crazy!!!!! Beyonce is not the movie she is in the movie as are the other actors. Why are you passing judgement. See the movie if you like it or not is personal, you people who are making comments that are hateful regarding this beautiful and humble woman are probably those that look in the mirror and don't like what you see because you were taught not to like black people in general and especially sucessful black women that work hard, keep their personal lives to themselves and have really great parents. Get a life.

I want to show my love for Mos Def..Lord have MERCY! I never heard his music until I watched Lackawanna Blues and saw Look What The Lord Has Done.. It was then that I realized what a great actor he was and that he was multi-talented.. Well now he has outdone himself in this movie.. As Chuck Berry he had me dancing in my seat.. I love Mos Def in this part.. Gorgeous man and GREAT actor.. Your light is shining bright and I am one of your BIGGEST fans.. I also think Beyonce did a GREAT job and sang her heart out.. It is a movie worth seeing more than once (I am going back tonight. LOL!)
