Actress Joy Bryant and stuntman Dave Pope wed on June 28, 2008, during an intimate evening ceremony in The Hamptons. The screen sweethearts met on the set of “Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins” and their hearts have been inseparable ever since. The couple prepares to celebrate their first wedding anniversary and we ask that you join us as we walk down memory lane and reminisce on their big day.

Here is what I found out about Joy: I was raised in The Bronx by my grandmother and although we were on welfare and it was hard, she always taught me that education was the key to unlock all possibilities. She also taught me that that no-one’s better than you and you’re no better than anyone else. She always said to me, “always hold your head up high and always keep a smile on your face”. Do you think this guidance from your grandmother inspired you to pursue acting? Exactly, and I’m extremely grateful to her for that. It’s because of her direction and guidance that I got a scholarship to a preppy, waspy boarding school in New England. I went there for four years, did extremely well, went to Yale for two years, dropped out and here I am today.

what a beautiful wedding. very low key and elegant. who cares how she wore her hair. obviously that wasn't the focal point of her wedding. she and her husband seemed genuinely happy and that is all that matters. it is obvious that they are both very laid back individuals. to all of you with the positive comments, positive will bring more positive. the negativity will breed more negativity.
