The Economy is tanking, the jobless rate is increasing by the day, but that
doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your style during these tough times. On
the last day of Fashion Week, ESSENCE.com combed the streets of New York City, searching for everyday people to give us their style secrets. Keep clicking and read what these New Yorkers had to say about their fashion
choices.

Photo #10 of the gentleman in the fur coat and hat is great. I hope to have as much style as he does when I'm his age. I wish I could contact him for style tips.

I really like how you guys added this! This is great! I love looking at the more expensive pieces featured in Essence. However, i would absolutely LOVE to see something like THIS added to each issue. Just feature 5 or so random fashion forward, REAL people. That would be the first place i would turn. It would give the readers something to connect with,as well as provide inspiration and (more than likely) AFFORDABLE options for the average reader. Think about it :-D

It seems to me that the older generation of New Yorkers (pics 9 & 10) have better and more classic, yet versatile style than the younger generations of New Yorkers. If the young men in these pictures attempted to get a job dressed like they are in Detroit, they would be turned away simply because of their appearance. Where's the professionalism (regardless of what you do)?
