I was in tears (happy tears of course!) throughout all of yesterday's festivities. I will not elaborate on anything negative because that's not me. Beyonce did a good job singing "At Last" whether or not folks agreed with her and not the original singer (Etta James) doing the honors. I loved Mrs. Obama's outfit and that dance with Mr. President was lovely. Those beautiful daughters - they were adorable in their outfits. This was indeed a beautiful day (unfortunately, very cold) but not even the chill could dampen the beauty of the event. I was so proud to see my Delawarean (Joe Biden) become our Vice President. I pray that President Obama and his family be safe and that he does his best...God knows we need CHANGE.

I was blessed to be in attendance in Washington D.C. for the inaguration and the atmosphere during the ceremony was so incredible and wonderful (words can never fully describe it). People of all races rejoiced and celebrated OUR 44th President of the United States. GOD Bless America!!!!

I was truly amazed and proud to watch the Inaguration of our newly elected President Barack Obama. I watched it throughtout the entire day and night. I commend the local and cable networks for the opportunity to view all the action. I think the First Family looked Simply Marvelous. This morning (1-21-09) I had the chance to view the Morning Service, and really enjoyed the words of encouragement, prayer, and the sermon message all prepared for our President. May God continue to reign in the lives of our First Family and Protect and Keep them Always! Be Blessed! Much Love.

Memo to Black people (including myself): Please let's stop with all of the complaining and excuse making. If you don't like the cabinet president Obama put together so what. Please get over yourself. By the way, some of you need to look up the definition of cabinet before you put out there that he only appointed 2 blacks to his cabinet. He actually appointed more based on the definition of cabinet. But even if it was only 2 blacks, so what. Take responsibility for your own life and stop waiting for the government to take care of you. You take care of you.

Yesterday was great! I am 29 yrs old and did not think I would see a black president for at least until I was 50! It was remarkable, emotional, delightful sight to see yesterday even though I wasn't there I felt the love and sincerity our new president have for this great country. Yes we have alot of work ahead of us but with God ahead of our steps - all is possible!!! P.S. It's also great to see a black man so in tune with his family - breaking stereotypes one black man at a time! :)

I don't understand why Beyonce' was given the opportunity to sing "AT Lastt" at the inaugural ball, when Etta James was the original artist and is still alive and selling out concerts. Go figure.

Praise be to glory. I am so happy Obama is officially now the president of the United States of America. It is truely a blessing to see this day come to life instead of on some Hollywood movie. Barack, Michelle and those beautiful angelic children, Sasha and Malia are absolutely a beautiful black family to see. Congratulation MISTER PRESIDENT! GOD BE WITH YOU ALL.

I’ve always said if you want to see ignorance at its best-read a blog and sure enough it’s on here! choice of skin color, Michelle’s hair, Beyonce’s dress…so unnecessary. God has blessed us to see a day that most of our parents and grandparents only dreamed about-and most of you can’t even appreciate this blessing. Shameful! Why don’t we talk about the fact that Obama used Lincoln’s bible to swear in-which no other president had done before, or this is black love at its finest and hope God will bless our relationships the same way!!! Some may mean nothing by it to post these ludicrous comments but it’s the ignorance that makes me wonder why even type it in the first place!!! Change has come but what does that mean for YOU? How will his change improve those negative comments? Maybe start with church on Sunday and a self make-over!

I am a native Washingtonian and I just love my city!! The evening was spectacular. And Beyonce' singing "At Last", touched my heart. She gave an interview right after she sung and you felt her emotion through the television. To Mr. President and his lovely wife, Mrs. Obama...Welcome to DC..
