Changing of the Guards

I just wanted to say that yes this is an moment that will be embedded in our childrens history. We have to show them what respect, kindness, love, compassion, and persistance will get you. If you have a focus, goal, determination and support of the people who love you. We should show them how to respect people who are different but have the same dream that we have for our children. For them to be free, excell and develop character. I believe that we can do this even doing this time of history. Everyone has a story even you. Be kind with these comments someone could say the same things about your child one day.

Reading this reminds me of the hatred that exists for people of African descent. It's a shame that color is what Senator Obama is being judged against. Fortunately, we ALL have the right to vote -- not just those who are ignorant.

No matter who wins tomorrow, lets pray that he does the right things to improve America as a whole. I am looking for a new day for all people. Its amazing how sad this election has been. African Americans have no problem believing in a White Candidate and moving with his agenda in office. But, when it comes to having a Black man run for the presidency, we still see the color lines flourishing. America is no longer "white America?" White people are not superior. Although, I do not agree with all of Mr Obama's set plans for us, I am appreciative that the White House can finally embrace more than just the White Man. I think that may be what God wants to show us as well. No candidate will make a huge impact in 4 years, and I am not expecting the President 2008 to accomplish all that is corrupt and wrong in Washington. However, there are some obvious barriers being broken in this election and I am all for it. I am a God-supporter. So whoever wins, my election is Sure!!!

This is the most historic moment in history for Black and White Americans alike. It was such an emotional and wonderful feeling to see voters, young, old, black, white form lines that extended around corners and blocks long. Barack Obama made history in that he encourage the American people to go out and vote. He is the change we need and I voted for him because he understand the common person and he will work to assure that the little people get a piece of the American pie. I wish him a blessed journey in this new endeavor he is undertaking. I never thought I would live to see this historic moment, I just wish my paprents could have lived to see this wonder day in history being made. God bless and keep Barack and continue to shower his blessings and mercy upon him.

Valerie80-Your story doesn't make any sense. Why would Obama supporters yell obscene words to you just because your in line voting? If they were true supporters they would know how detrimental and damaging that would be to his election. I think your falsifying the truth. DONT PLAY THIS OUT LIKE HIS SUPPORTERS ARE RADICAL AND UNMANAGEABLE. YOU WERE VOTING FOR MCCAIN ANYWAY.

PROVERBS 28: 2 WHEN A COUNTRY IS REBELLIOUS, IT HAS MANY RULERS, BUT A MAN OF UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE MAINTAINS ORDER. 28: 3 A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops. 28: 4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them. 28:5 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully.

I believe that we will make history today! Barack Obama IS the change that America needs. He has had more than a campaign, he has created a movement that America has never seen the likes of. His movement has mobilized our country from the ground up. This is not simply becuase he is a Black man. It is because he embodies integrity, intelligence, class and compassion. If you disagree with the movement that is your right. But please step aside while the movement progresses. Supporters: Please keep praying for the protectionof the Obama family.
