I never heard of Carmelo, but opened the story because I was glad to see Essence focus on a married athelete and his family. I was surprised to learn that they're shack-ups and not married. Oftentimes the celebrity has moved on to another person by the time the article comes out. I urge Essence to stop this discouraging practice as something to glorify and instead promote those couples who chose to the Godly way - marriage and then children.
