The 81st Annual Academy Awards were held last night at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, and Black Hollywood’s elite were on hand for the festivities.

Best Supporting Actress nominee Viola Davis was not a winner last night, but she was no doubt a golden beauty on the red carpet wearing a Reem Arca gown and Fred Leighton jewels.

Is Essence ever going to post the 2009 Literary Award winners. The list was supposed to be published on February 15.

I think she really loves her mom, but she should be able to be truthful with her mother. "Mom, this dress is nice, but I'm not wearing it to the Oscars!!"
